“But I don’t want a Creamy Vanilla Smoothie.”
“It’s shaken, not stirred and it’s a ‘Readi-Cat-2’. Make sure it’s chilled, and start drinking the first 10 oz. at 8:45…”
OMG! This was a surprise.
*ring…ring…ring* I missed the call but found out through voice mail that I could pick up my ‘cocktail’ before 5:30 PM. Hell…it was already 4:45, a thousand degrees outside, and I was in no mood to go anywhere as long as the sun was out. But away I went, phone in hand, trying to figure out if I could make it to Steinberg Diagnostic in that time frame or WTF. The downside was that I had called on Friday and spoke with someone at Steinberg, asking them ifI needed to do anything special. “NO!” I had even asked my Dr.’s office when they made the appointment for me, “NO!” Now everything changed. Drive like a demon from hell – pick up the damn cocktail – disrupt your whole sleep pattern – and get ready to have the farting/chalky white poops for a day.
But aside from all of that whining, I see so many people that are seriously ill and have health problems, that I can’t help but be overly thankful for all the healthy years I’ve had and that even now, I’m still pretty damn healthy. I even packed my roller blades and gear in the storage unit under the coach when I moved out of Hyman Place – and I just bought a helmet. (Ten Mile…if you say one word about an older woman going roller blading, I swear I’ll never read you again.) 🙂 The RV park I’m in now is all paved and perfect for an early morning roll.
And aren’t those CT machines incredible? I marvel at the minds that put all that together. After taking five to six hours to get ready for the test, it’s so painlessly simple, and doesn’t take more than five minutes max. Out the door and on the way to food, water, and S-L-E-E-P!

It’s time to stick my face back into the poker world. CCexplore – Quest of a Closet Poker Player – is back in Vegas. We are going for food soon.Michael Craig is in Scottsdale (home) for a day or so and then he’s back. I think I have a couple of more satellites in me for the WSOP action. It would be so great to win one. And yes, that’s probably the only way I’m going to enter a main event but I could change my mind. This year has been particularly brutal for me to even clear out my thoughts and devote 8-10 hours a day to playing poker. It’s been more like an hour here and there on the internet, playing at work on the clock, and the ‘Pan Game Plays Vegas’type of poker.
I’ve always felt that playing poker is one of the endeavors that takes a tremendous amount of time out of one’s life/schedule. And for me to devote that time, I can’t have other things pressing in on me. Right now there is a lot of pressure going on. I see no end to it, but if I win a satellite, I will take the time to prepare mentally to remove all the pressure and seriously devote all thought into the play of the game.

A random shot from the WPBT tourney at Caesar’s Palace on the 8th. If you know who you are, what difference does it make? If you don’t know who this is…your loss.
See you there!
You’re only “old” if you allow yourself to be. Have a great time rollerblading, Linda!
