Just one of the reasons that I don’t get along with Mike Danino. $300-$600 7 Card Stud – 8 handed – the 4 and 8 seats are walking. Notaris is involved in this story also…he seems to be a catalyst for strange incidents.
Greg – 2 seat, Vasilli – 3 seat,Notaris – 5 seat, Mike Danino. – 6 seat, Ralph Perry – 7 seat. Vasilli opens with low card – Deuce. Notaris raises with Ace showing, Ralph calls with a Jack, Greg raises with a Queen. Vasilli calls, Notaris raises, Ralph and Greg call.
Vasilli’s next card is a 8, Notaris is high with the Ace and bets, called around. Vasilli catches another Deuce and checks, Notaris bets, Ralph calls, Greg’s board is showing something like Queen-7-9; Greg raises, called around.
Vasilli catches a 8, his board is showing 8’s and deuces. He checks; it’s checked to Greg who bets, everyone calls.
On the River, Vasilli checks once again. Notaris picks up his hole cards, grumbling and moaning, showing all of his hole cards to Mike. Ralph starts craning his neck to look at them. Notaris finally throws them face down onto the table. I picked them up and laid the whole hand face up on the table, stating, “These are exposed cards.”
Mike went off on me, I was wrong to show the hole cards because there was still action in the hand…Duh! That’s why I did show them. If Ralph could see them, which he could, and had cards, which he did, why shouldRalph have the advantage of seeing the cards before he acts on his hand and the other player’s shouldn’t?
Pete Popovich. – supervisor – was standing 10 feet away, I just called for a decision. Pete came over, I explained, Pete said, “Yes, the cards had to be turned up.” Pete walked off. Mike was so busy with himself, he said, “What was the decision?”
I called Pete back. Pete stood over my shoulder fortwo minutes trying to explain the reason behind it while Mike kept stating that the dealer was wrong because Notaris could have an 8 or Deuce in his hand and the other players would know Vassilli did not have a full house. Wow! Thank God Mike isn’t in charge of life and daily living on Planet Earth.
I got pushed. Mike was still mumbling that I was wrong. By the way, Notaris had split Aces. Ralph never showed his hand, Greg won the pot with Queens and 9’s.
