Farewell Bloggers and how I got stood up for lunch

Sorry kids, no links to blogs today, too tired and I don’t have the energy to go through it all…but that doesn’t mean I don’t love you lots, I do. On Thursday of last week, I called Maudie to see when she was coming in, during our conversation she said she would love to have lunch/dinner with Iggy and me on Sunday if at all possible. She had some plans of her own during the trip and Sunday would work out best. I jumped on it. Of course I would and it would be great fun. Poker Bloggers Galore III

I keep shifting off to do other things instead of doing what I really want to do, that is writing about the Bloggers in town over the weekend. Iggy and I found a spot to sit and visit privately for a few minutes before we rejoined the Sport’s Book Blogger Crowd. Someone, I can’t even remember who right now, teased me about not being too hard on Iggy since I was his boss…sheesh! Like yeah right! It’s hard to be the boss of a blogger…that’s why we blog…we don’t want a boss telling us what towrite in our blog. Continue reading Poker Bloggers Galore III

Poker Bloggers Galore – II

*post continued* Over a few days time, I threw up a few random posts and thoughts on Blogger Doings. It’s really difficult to put too much together out of it because everyone is so much fun and so receptive to being together that there is no major issue or noise going on. Everyone just sort of goes their own way and does what they want and then manages to come back together as if the string of blogging minds had never been broken by leaving. After the Wynn buffet, everyone sort of drifted off.

At least he got my name right!

“Linda Geenen has been blogging about poker for a long time, for longer than I even knew what a blog was.

“She’s a dealer at the Bellagio. I remember some long ago threads on rec.gambling.poker about her making posts full of gossip about the players in the big game (that she sometimes dealt) and getting in trouble with management about.

“Well, duh. If you work in the hospitality industry, even in a non-professional job like dealing, you are expected to perserve the privacy of the guests. That’s pretty much the way things work. Poker dealers with blogs aren’t exempt.

“But she’s still there, at least she didn’t lose her job over such extreme non-professional behavior.”

Whose Toy is this?

Another shortie before I head across the valley to our WPBT Winter Classic Tournament – hosted at Caesar’s Palace. I’m inhaling my coffee, trying to get my eyes to work -this day life is killing me. I do not know how you people fade the traffic and the sun in your eyes every day, give me the beautiful Moon Goddess, bathing me with soft, silvery light as my guiding star, and let me sleep through humanities insane rush to hurry up and go nowhere. No time to post

It’s all their fault! Damn Bloggers! Love them with all my heart and little, weird, brain twists as I keep racing back across the city to hang out with them. NFR is in town, cowboy hats, major belt buckle city, and cowboy boots are everywhere and traffic’s backed up until hell won’t have it but I keep fighting my through it just to hang out with the bloggers for a few days. Poker Bloggers Forum on PokerWorks

PokerWorks is always an ongoing project and since it’s my brainchild, even though there’s a large team working on it, I still get to have a lot of choices on what happens here. One of our latest additions is a WPBTour Forum – a forum for poker bloggers only. It’s a private forum and unless you are registered and given access, you do not even see it when you visit the forum.
