I was off and running today

not as fast as I would have liked but still, a nice steady plod in the right direction. I had to go way the hell up Sahara to the mortgage broker’s office. Wonder how much diesel I blew on that trip. Then I headed to the Rio…I know…the WSOP is in town and Linda is staying away. I called Katie Lindsay, one of PokerWorks’ writers for lunch as promised…and BTW she’s got a new gig called Suited Connections. Andy Beal’s Sweater, Devilfish, Greg Raymer, Johnny Chan, Eskimo, Et Al

Friday night at the zoo! That statement says it all most of the time but not this time. It wasn’t a zoo. There were no cages and orderly paved walkways. It was a jungle. I swear there were people crawling up the walls and ceilings and swinging on the drapes to get into the middle of the room and sign up for games. The lists were 50 long…that’s not an exaggeration. Bring on the medication

Last night I skated past all the high limit, tonight I think I hit everyone until the last part of my night. Everything was screaming mayhem. Microphones howled with pages for players to their open seat and table transfers and pages for phone calls, people talking and milling about, dealers, chip runners, supervisors, cocktails, porters, announcements of satellites being held for Omaha 8 or Better Tomorrow.
