Barely Crawling

I suppose there’s a flaw in my thoughts that always makes me think I’m 20 instead of a granny that’s eligible for SS. I figured I’d have the gallbladder removal done and be up and chipper within a few days.  No…I’m not joking.  I didn’t think I’d run a marathon but I thought I’d be much more improved than the real picture is showing me…now that some of the fog is out of my head.

I spent the first 48 hours in almost continual sleep/pass out mode. The third day (yesterday) was an overall grouchy feeling kind of day interrupted by a nifty nap and then feelings of not connecting with anything or wanting to be anywhere — and trying to eat and pain pills…not enough of them I suppose, but they make me sick too unless taken with food.

And today, day number 4, one of the damned dermabond holes in my abdomen is infected.  So tomorrow it’s time to call the Dr. and possibly stop in his office.

But also today was a day to head into the big city of Pahrump and pick up a few groceries.  I wasn’t out long but it was still exhausting and painful.  Umnhhhh.  If my son hadn’t been here with me, my poor Scout would’ve had one helluva time the first two days.  Dan’s been a huge help in more ways than one and I’m thankful to have that.

I can barely think about poker, let alone write about it right now, so I’m not.  I plan on depositing on the WSOP.com in the next few days. I admit to being curious as to how the limited field in Nevada will tally out between the WSOP.com and Ultimate Poker.  My first thought is that WSOP.com will get a bigger audience because some of the offerings will be WSOP live tournaments at the Rio.

Laters…back soon when I’m able to get up off the floor.

    1. Thanks TM.

Enjoyed your previous comment but didn’t get back to comment. On the seat belt, when I went grocery shopping yesterday, I almost didn’t buckle up – those surgical holes are in weird places IMHO – but they escaped the pull of the belt. 🙂

  1. Our village secretary had the procedure. She had to drive better than a hundred miles to and from home. Her comments came straight from the stables. That’s why the joke and your procedure tickled me – I just knew I was going to do it. Just knew it.
