Hey Spooks and Spookettes

Ah-h-h-h-h-h!  It’s Halloween and it’s just not like it used to be.  The good old days would find kids running up and down the streets with bags full of candy and goodies banging against their legs – and some semblance of a costume or face paint to make it more Spook-a-listic! Home baked cookies and candy back then could be trusted to be exactly that…goodies, not something that might kill you or send you to hospital.

I used to dress for Halloween, even went to work (dealing poker) more than once in a Halloween costume and it was fun until about the 4th hour where everything got uncomfortable and I wished I was home under a hot shower.  Now you’d play hell going into work in the casinos with a costume or face paint. They’d figure you were going to rob the place or something.

Tonight will be a chimenae at sis’s place and a glass of wine to see if a few kids will come by for treats.  We have two carved pumpkins setting out by the road that will be lit with candles so if some little trickster is walking/driving by with parents, they will figure out they can stop.  We live right at the end of the street, just off the desert, if we get three kids, it will surprise me.  The wine part and the fire will be fun, even if no kids show up.

Here’s a costume that would send even the fearless running: Heidi Klum’s Halloween Costume.  Be sure to scroll all the pictures for the full effect.  I’d have to say AWESOME because I have two boys that airbrush body art and do tattoos, I have a pretty good idea of the time and energy that went into it.  On the personal side I’d have to say SCARY!

Time to fly, my broom is waiting!
