The Patterson Boys

I tried to look back through this craziness of blogging that I’ve done for such a long time now in search of the first reference to meeting Greg and the time we first started turning the pan game into a poker dealing school, but alas, I can’t find it.  I’m sure it was around 2005 simply because there are Pan Game Plays Vegas posts as early as February 2006, one of them is about playing at the MGM, which is where Chad works and he was working there when we all gathered there to play…he opened the MGM Poker Room.

I met Greg first, he found Table Tango and sent me an email, and then came into Bellagio to meet me.  The subject of learning to deal poker came up and it was a go.  Then he contacted me to see if it was OK if his brother came along.  Sure.  That’s how it all began.  They were both single, hadn’t even met the ladies that were to become their wives yet, and they were great friends and both their mom and dad (married to other people now) are great too.  Greg married Amy in September of 2009 and Chad married Ashlea on the 24th of April.  I feel so fortunate to have been invited to both weddings and welcomed into the family fold.

After the reception started and the sun was giving up its place in the evening sky to the lights of Las Vegas, Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse, and Cinderella went by outside.

Ain’t Las Vegas grand?  You never know who you will see where.

I had a great time.  The newly marrieds were leaving in the morning for Maui and just after dark I was leaving for the bright lights of Pahrump.

Life moves so fast the only way to track it is with a memory…and a blog.  Congratulations Mr. and Mrs. Patterson.

  1. Really enjoyed this post, Linda! And it was good to see you at the wedding. I know your mentoring and friendship has meant a lot to my “Boys”. Come see us in Colorado!
