I’m sorry to report

the word “Grandmom” is completely worn out.  If any of you ever thought about using it, you will have to wait for it to refresh throughout the next cycling of word repair.  Is it possible for someone to create a counter that one could wear on their person and actually count the number of times a particular word was used? My buddy Riot did the ‘Grandmom’ thing at least 3,870 times while he was here during the weekend.  We did have a really good time.  Saturday was his day to kick dirt – and he did.  He went home to momparental on Sunday and called me Sunday night to tell me to come and get him after school tomorrow.  It’s nice to be loved.

I haven’t been here as of late simply because I haven’t had the time or the energy.  I’ve thought about it though.  Does that count for anything?

I made it out to the desert with Amy on Monday a.m. for a stroll, the wind kicked up nicely about 20 minutes into our walk, and got progressively worse.  We moved around some foothills for part of the walk and heading home we got the wind head-on.  It was a ripper by that time.  It’s been a ripper for over 40 hours now.  If I’d known the wind was this bad on this end of the valley, I would’ve seriously looked on the other side.  It’s brutal.

But all of that aside, there are some really great sunsets on this side of the valley:

I have no idea why I find this type of thing so fascinating:

And here’s the boy with a candy centipede crawling out of the neck of his shirt.  He had the giggly tee-hees.

I played two tournaments tonight, and even placed 53 out of 4184 players.  I cashed for $7.12, meaning I had a profit of $6.02.  The other tourney I busted out before the big bucks.  That was on PokerStars…go ahead and sign up kids, you too can win the big bucks once every 6 months or so.  Thanks for sweating me Glenda!

I started going through some of my old pictures and I really need to get them out of mothballs and start splashing them around.  But in the meantime, I have to get moving.  G’nite.
