It’s another one of those

you know, daze.  I survived the visit to the Dr. the other day, and felt like I had a visit that was very worthwhile in trying to wade through some questions I have on BP medication, etc.  I like that guy.  He talked to me.  Blood work tomorrow early a.m. to check my sugar level, cholesterol, etc…you know, the yearly thing.  Trying some new stuff, as of now, waiting to see if insurance will share even a part of new cholesterol medication…bastard insurance companies.  All’s well in the desert though.  If I break into a million pieces and get carried away by the wind, none of it matters anyway.  If I stay intact and live to be 150, none of it matters anyway.  It’s just a nanosecond in the breath of time.

I got talked into playing a Badugi PL freeroll tournament on PokerStars by a friend of mine, Josh – you know who you are, he busted, I’m still in, he’s out, but I talked the PokerHack into playing it too.  We must both be really sick since it doesn’t take much to get us into a game.  Whoops!  She just went out.  This is sick.  My yard project awaits, it’s cooling off outside, and I’m in a freeroll tournament that awards a seat in another tournament where I might make a few cents.  Truly, this kid is ill.  Busted just a moment ago.

I went into “P” today to Home Depot, Walmart, and Star Nursery.  I made the mistake of driving through the parking lot over by the contractor’s loading area.  A young man and woman, with two kids in strollers that appeared to not be over 2 years old, were standing off the Home Depot lot with a sign that read “Ready to Work.”  I never handle this well as has been noted in posts past.  Are they using the kids to rip off the public or are they desperately in need of help?  If I’d known they were around the last few days I would have had them digging the frigging holes on the property.  When I went through check-out in the garden center, I mentioned them to the clerk.  She said she’d seen them over by Walmart yesterday.  UGH!  I was prepared to drive back around by them and just hand them some cash – I even called my sis to see if she had any labor chores she thought they could do.  I loaded up and drove around by where I saw them last, they were gone.  Can’t help but wonder where they are staying and how they got into such a plight with little kids.  Sad.  Old softy here was ready with the green…yeah, feel that skin, soft as a new baby’s butt.

Tomorrow my landmate’s leave for the open road again.  It will feel strange the first few days, as it always does, but I will be back into the mode shortly.  It’s been early AM desert walks with my neighbor Amy, about 4 to 5 days a week – very nice…those chatty strolls that have allowed us to explore how much mankind can dump of their fucking shit out into the desert around the clumps of mesquite trees.  It’s ugly!  But ignoring the jackasses of society’s refuse, the air is perfect, the walking is great for this grannie’s bod, and I hope it stays as a routine.  Otherwise I’ll have to be doing it myself if Amy gives up – and I don’t believe she will.  I think she’s starting to enjoy the trudging and getting out.

On another note, the loons that live on the backside of my coach, and wall, managed to lose all their dogs. SWEET JESUS!  It’s so peacefully quiet all night along, other than the zoom-zoom-zoom of a crotch rocket as it revs up to the leave their house.  Queenie (Chihauha extraordinaire) moved out with her slave (the guy that thinks he owns her), Monster the pit bull ran away and hasn’t been seen in about 2 weeks, the other poor female cross between an English Bull Dog/pit bull was out in the front of their yard, ignored for five days, and found a new home.  All’s well that ends well…it’s not over yet but it’s mightly resolved compared to where it’s been.

I won’t get Riot for companionship this weekend – that puts me at two weeks without seeing him – *sniff* but next weekend he’s supposed to come to Grannie’s place.  I sure hope so.  I can hardly wait to talk about ‘Scorpi-mans’ and see him try to catch a rabbit…which BTW…they don’t run now, they act indignant that anyone would expect them to move off the property.  Kinda funny.  Maybe they picked up something from Queenie before she left.

Time to fly, the dirt moving and stone hauling is over for another day and there’s an immediate shower in my future.
