A busy little bee

That’s me, barely stopping, barely keeping up…pshaw…who am I kidding, I feel like I’m halfway up a mile long glass hill and someone’s at the top pouring Wesson oil right in my path.

Yesterday was a plan to meet Ryan and Tami at the Rio at 4 p.m. And a friend was coming over at 2 p.m. for some help on getting letters out to apply for aid to go back to college. Not to worry, my printer didn’t do what it was supposed to do. No one touches the printer but me, yet it had developed into an obnoxious personality since the last time I used it a few days ago. It had a mind of its own and wasn’t going to do anything constructive for me. Short of taking a hammer to it, I figured out that every time I wanted to print a document I had to check something in properties to get it to print correctly. That just ain’t right, kids. I will look at it in the next few days and see what happened to turn it into a psycho-bitch printer.

The printing finally done, friend out the door, working frantically on articles for PokerWorks editing, I found out something was hanging in the air and had to be done immediately…it pertained to the website also. I was an hour late getting out the door and heading across the valley. No way I could find Ryan’s phone #. since I switched to the iPhone, I don’t have the mass list that I used to have with the Treo…upgrading sux sometimes.

I didn’t find them when I got there, they didn’t call me so it’s possible they didn’t make it, they got there and couldn’t find me and gave up, they don’t have my # anymore either, they didn’t really want to see/talk to me. I did find Tony G. off in the distance in the heads-up tournament and Aaron (PokerWorks writer) and had a chance to visit with Pauly for a few moments and got to get a great hug from E-Dog. Erick was just leaving the heads-up tournament area and I didn’t ask him how he did in it. It’s so nice to see someone that I’ve dealt to for some years, do so well in poker and still have that fantastic smile and attitude just for me. He took a few moments to give me personal questions about life and how things were. That means a lot to me, baby!

I conned Aaron into going to late…really late lunch with me. Nice. We visited about…what else?…poker pretty much. That’s what you do when you hang out with poker players.

Right now I just made the money in a $1 + 10c buy-in 7 card stud 8 tournament on PokerStars. I’m outa here to go play my little hi/lo brains out and see how I do.
