Little set backs

I can’t help but wonder why computers can so twitchy, glitchy, and ultra pissy at times…but then they were made by humans, right? That should explain it all. Yes, I’m a windows user, have been since the day I bought my first pc, and even tho I’ve heard that Apple is the only way to go, I’m not in the mood or financial attitude to start all over again and dump everything I’ve crammed into my brain about fixing, mixing, and tying things together – not to mention the zillions I’ve spent on programs, computers, printers, and a whole Shitload of other little nuances to make my computer face smile. I have two fujitsus, one is windows xp, one is windows vista (it’s about 6 weeks old), and I run into situations from time to time that make me want to S-C-R-E-A-M at the wall – and I want to break a few things too as I’m screaming.

One thing that has me totally twitched right now is Thunderbird. I have several email accounts set up through it and when I backed it up with Moz back-up (I’ve done it before and it saved all user settings, etc.) it failed to back up one of the accounts and when I restored it, I lost the whole email account. Thankfully it was a new account and had very little in it, but I admit to being pissed over it. Another little issue that has turned into a big issue is that the sending of email, from any of the accounts, (only as of today) is hit or miss, it may choose to send or choose to say the server is unavailable. I use hughes.net for my pop and smtp server since I’m on a mobile satellite system. Nothing has changed since yesterday when everything was working fine. Now it seems to be an ordeal and I’m not dealing with it well. *throws chair through wall*
Little things have a tendency to irritate me more than big issues do. A stack of little things are like the biting horseflies that manage to find you when you’re hiking through the desert and it’s 100 degrees and in the middle of nowhere. It’s irritating. Why do they have to be there, how did they find me to bother out of the whole expanse of emptiness, and why do they continue? And what is it with the biting shit – can’t they just buzz around in an obnoxious drone?

Ah-h-h-h well. I believe I’ll be looking for a free roll on PokerStars here shortly. My bankroll has jumped to a whopping big $7. And if I can’t find the perfect freeroll of my choice, I’ll opt for the 1c-2c NLH game again. Sometimes just methodically folding all those bad hands and reading the chat of some supercharged jackass seems to make life fold into a nice little blend that isn’t quite as irritating. BTW, I reported a freak again the other night for his incessant, filthy mouthed chat, and got an email from support that they banned his chat privileges. That must really hurt his whole attitude about playing because he can’t be heard by the world as he screams at himself for being an idiot. Nah-nah-nah!

And tomorrow is Bird Day. Enjoy the feed, stay well, stay healthy, stay tuned.
